On behalf of Orvis Harrogate I would like to invite you and your fellow members of the Nidderdale Angling Club to a presentation evening at the store (21-22 West Park, Harrogate, HG1 1BJ) on Wednesday 16 November 2016. This special event, which will begin at 18:00, has been planned to celebrate the upcoming launch of Orvis' new 10ft #3 Recon rod and the recent publication of Jonathan White's excellent book Nymphing The New Way: French Leader Fishing for Trout.

Stealthy, sensitive, versatile and capable of producing impressive catches, French Nymphing and related leader-only approaches are becoming increasingly popular on rivers and streams worldwide. As Orvis Harrogate's Fly Fishing Specialist I will be speaking on the evening about the fascinating history and development of these methods, their associated fly patterns and how to make the most of them on local venues.

Guests will also be able to see, handle and pre-order the new 10ft #3 Recon, which is competitively priced at £379.00 and ideal for modern, light-line fly fishing on running waters. All paid-for pre-orders will receive a complimentary copy of Nymphing The New Way (normal price £20.00), which will also be available to purchase separately.

With light refreshments provided, plus the opportunity to attend a follow-up on-the-water demonstration, I very much hope that this will be an interesting, informative and enjoyable evening for all. I look forward to welcoming as many Nidderdale Angling Club members as possible, and would greatly appreciate it if, at all possible, anyone intending to attend could let either myself or a fellow member of staff know at their earliest convenience, in order to facilitate seating and catering arrangements.

Kind regards and tight lines,

Clark Colman
